Case-Shiller Index

Encouraging news is coming on just about every front about the US housing market.  I love the Daily Mortgage Report by Dan Green, and he has an interesting analysis about the Case-Shiller Index and it’s latest report.  He points out that the Index is useful in understanding historical trends and points out the recent trend of rising home prices.  He also points out the flaws in the Index, including the warning for current buyers & sellers not to use it in order to make current housing decisions.  For those decisions, he says one must consult a real estate professional in their specific area.  Read the details of the report by clicking Case-Shiller.
